Unable to allocate socket: Too many open files

I have:

CallWeaver 1.2.1 SVN branches/rel/1.2 r5645 built on pbx, an x86_64
running Linux on 2010-05-26 09:32:37 UTC

About 184 friends registered and peers to VoIP Provider.

It serv FaxToMail, Voicemails etc. for my customers.

One week after last restart I have errors like:

During that ERRORS and WARNINGS it was hard to make calls inbound and
outbound.

After restart, problems has gone. Do I have to path my compilation ?
or set some file access limit in OS ?

You may want to check your system and user max number of open
files/descriptors. Info here:

http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-increase-the-maximum-number-of-open-files/

Also, the issue could be system memory. Do you have enough RAM and swap
(ick)? Each open file/descriptor will use a small amount of memory.
